Google macht sich bereit für Mobile Advertising

Werbung im Mobile Web ist ein Geschäft mit goldener Zukunft. Noch ist der Markt klein, doch mit der zunehmenden Verbreitung von Smartphones gehen große Wachstumspotenziale einher. Google will mitmischen und kauft für 750 Millionen Dollar in Aktien AdMob. Die Firma hat eine Technik entwickelt, die Werbung aufs Handy bringt.

Gegründet wurde AdMob 2006 von Omar Hamoui, der damals keine zufriedenstellenden Möglichkeiten fand, Traffic für seine Mobile Site zu generieren. "Over the past few years, Omar and his talented team have built a thriving company with great mobile advertising products, and we are looking forward to having them join the Google team and work with us on the future of mobile advertising," heißt es seitens Google.
